Run. It was the only thing that Kadence could think of as she heard the scream of rage behind her. She couldn't get off the island fast enough, there was no way Circe would let her go easily. The animals all stirred and looked to her with wide eyes as she ran for her very life across the island towards the boats. She knew which boat to take, one that was going to be faster but not as evident as the others that she had taken it. If Circe really wanted to, she would turn Kade into like..a fluffy bunny or something and keep her stuck on the island for the rest of time, but there was no way she could let that happen. She didn't know how she had managed to break the hold of the spell that Circe had over her, maybe it was the dream she had of her father, he had simply been walking along the beach and told her she had to l eave, now, or she would never see her friends or anyone else she loved again. He had given her a pleading look with those eyes, the ones that she had inherited and it was like a shock to her system. She had awoken in her room, wrapped in the uniform of the women on the island, a greek chiton, her hair looking like Aphrodite had decided she could never have a bad hair day in her life. Her make up perfect. Didn't only tv or movie characters wake up like that? ugh. She knew something was different when the shine of the island seemed to not glitter so much as it had before. She was walking around in a daze, then realized she saw so many animals and it all started to add up. " Circe." she turned towards the witches room and shoved a large table in front of it making it harder for her to get out the door and ran. Like her life depended on it, and perhaps it did.
She found the small sail boat she had seen weeks before when she had found herself here after escaping the clutches of the Titan camp. Kadence climbed aboard and pushed off, saying a silent prayer to her father for help, a gust of wind seemed to push the sails farther out than the normally would and she let out a yelp of thanks and looked back at the island, it seemed like a storm was brewing, and heading straight for her. " Crap." She held on for dear life as the wind buffeted her towards what she hoped was the direction of camp once more. She had to hope that her father was helping her steer towards safety. " help me dad....please." Apparantly either he wasn't listening or someone else was angry that she was trying to escape the sea of monsters, *cough* circe *Cough* and she was slammed by large wave after large wave. It felt like for hours she was drifting for a time then being slammed by the waves and wind again. It was like she was a tiny boat in a hurricane, oh wait she was. Kadence felt the boat lurch and heard a cracking sound and her eyes grew wide. She thought she could make out the outline of land ahead of her, but it was hard to see in the downpour.
Then the unthinkable happened, her boat capsized. She found herself thrown into the icey water of the Atlantic the chiton not offering her much in the way of a wet suit as she tried to swim for what looked like shore. Her arms were burning before long, and the waves kept going over her head. She couldn't last like this, she would never make it to shore. Where the hell was Balt when she needed him dang it, some friend. Another wave slammed into her and she felt herself pulled under the water, her eyes filled with the salty brine and burned. She knew it was the last moments of her life, but she still couldn't help but love that of all places she should die, it would be in the sea. She was losing her breath and she couldn't figure out which way was up, and then it was all blackness.....
