Mysterious. Luna has been around for a while and for that reason she is often not understood by others. They don’t get how she thinks. They don’t see what she sees. When it comes to a strategy, Luna sees it like a chessboard, every piece has a part to play for the bigger picture. She doesn’t really like to talk about herself ever, or her past experiences. Sometimes they are too much for her to even talk about considering the things that she’s seen. On some occasions, Luna gives advice to others, if she sees fit. Most of the time the snippets of advice don’t make sense upon first glance. She sees a lot but doesn’t share much.
Even-tempered. Most of the time Luna doesn’t react to most things. She’s seen a lot in her time and she doesn’t like revealing her true feelings a lot. She is logical and moves forward from situations by using her head more than she uses her heart.
Biased. Just like all people, Luna is quite opinionated whether she shares such opinions or not. She’s had a bit of a trauma when it comes to men and so she’s unforgiving and is perhaps a bit blinded when it comes to judging others. She is not entirely unreasonable. Luna tolerates men to some extent, she can be near them, even work together with them on occasion, as long as they don’t get in her way. Luna often goes out of her way to disagree with certain male types, however if she somehow can’t find an argument she simply will not acknowledge the male presence.
Wise. Having lived a long time, Luna’s been through a lot and seen a lot. She, like her siblings, enjoys learning about many things, thinking about them and then finding ways to apply her knowledge. Luna has fairly good judgment when it comes to difficult situations.
Unforgiving. Perhaps one of Luna’s worst traits is that she is unable to forgive people. She hates when people lie when they steal and when they cheat. Luna understands why people do it, but that doesn’t mean she forgives them for doing such to her. She sees it as a kind of betrayal to her. Because Luna doesn’t forgive and holds grudges, she doesn’t have too many friendships or close relationships with anyone.
Driven. When put to the test, Luna is driven, she likes to get things done on time and in the most efficient way. When she puts her mind to it, Luna can’t be stopped. When Luna decides to do something, she is committed, that being said, Luna doesn’t commit to anything unless she plans on going through with it 110%.
Courageous. Not many have the guts to do the things that the hunters do. Luna has her fears and demons, but they rarely stop her from trying to do what she believes is the right thing.
Pretentious. Knowledge and a long life can sometimes go a little to the head. Luna has a bit of hubris that comes out at some rather unfortunate times. She’ll rub people the wrong way and sometimes… think she’s superior to others at times.
Cold. Those that don’t know Luna personally don’t really see the nice, friendly side to Luna. Certainly she is courteous to everyone, that is if they are to her as well. But her demeanor towards people she does not know is not kind, nor is it necessarily comfortable for those around her to be near.
Cynical. Its easier to see the bad and forget about the good sometimes. Luna is very guilty of this. She tends to think of things to be a little… futile. Perhaps that is contrary to her drive to do things, however, Luna likes to think of this as a reality check. She’s seen victories and she’s also seen the devastation, but somehow the loss of sisters and friends has weighed down on her. There are times that it is very difficult for her to see the silver lining, or even perhaps good outcomes. These pessimistic thoughts come and go in phases.
Meticulous. As a daughter of Athena, Luna always likes to have order and precision in everything that she does. Luna enjoys making certain that things are the way that she likes them. She is extremely exacting in her work, whatever that may be, strategizing or otherwise.

History
[attr="class","section"]
Father: Phyrrus (son of Apollo)
Mother: Athena (Aglalia)
Step Mother: Iona
Step Siblings: Maia, Odessa, Leonidas
Ancient Greece 1300 BC
Luna was born in Athens of all places. Her father was a son of Apollo who was rather skilled for a demigod. He was an excellent healer and was quite intelligent when it came to certain subjects regarding medicine. What drew the goddess Athena to a son of Apollo was the fact that he was a thinker. Certainly he wasn’t Plato, nor was he Aristotle, but he was an accomplished man- one who would be forgotten centuries later, but nevertheless, a smart and intelligent man. Her father’s name was Phyrrus, for his hair was different for the time, rather than being olive skinned with dark hair, his tone was fair with a reddish hair color which was unique for the time. Perhaps it was for his lineage came from some travelers who had first come across the lands several generations ago from up north. The woman that he took fancy to (Athena in disguise) was called Aglaia. They were quite happy for a time and Aglaia often wove wonderful tapestries for the others and her family. One day though, Aglaia left the household and left behind a child, Luna.
Naturally Phyrrus was devastated at the loss of the woman he cared deeply about. He cared for the child just as any other father would, however, the family survived well enough. Luna didn’t have any siblings but at the age of six, her father married a woman by the name of Iona. Despite not being Iona’s daughter by blood, it did not stop them from bonding.
The six-year-old and Iona became quite close, and the three of them were happy for quite a while. It was when Luna turned seven that Iona had twins: Maia and Odessa and then two years later a son, Leonidas. Luna was quite fond of her step-siblings even being several years older than them. It was when Luna was twelve that her father told her about his father, Apollo. He told her that it was possible that she would have some of his own talents although it was not certain. It was also in that year that Luna’s own abilities began to manifest. She started to hear things, thoughts to be precise. At first, she was afraid to tell her father that she was afraid and unable to control the ability, she told her father.
Phyrrus was naturally stumped when he heard of Luna’s abilities. He did not have that ability and why Luna would have it, he didn’t know. Luna was a smart child, even from the beginning and she began to wonder herself. What if her mother was a goddess? She asked her father if it was even possible, and he had no idea. That was the only ability that Luna really understood. Like her mother, though she was able to weave like her mother could and remember things that most people wouldn’t.
When Luna turned fourteen years old, her father arranged a marriage to a man by the name of Jason. Luna wasn’t all that keen on marriage at the time, however, that was how things were done. She married Jason two years later at the age of sixteen. Luna couldn’t care for Jason at all, she thought he was rather dull and uninteresting. It was apparent that he wasn’t all that much of a good man either. When drunk he got angry, and violent even. She could hear his vile thoughts sometimes and they disgusted her.
Home life wasn’t at all something that Luna enjoyed, nor was she comfortable in her new home. She detested every part of Jason. How he was violent, pushy and never cared about her. She wanted to run away, she wished she could. One night, however, Jason became violent, so much so that Luna was forced to defend herself against him. Unlike other husbands and wives, Jason wasn't all that interested in women, perhaps he hadn't wanted to marry at all. Perhaps that was the source of the ire he expressed towards Luna.
There was once that my mother told me of what happened between a man and a woman after marriage. That was how children were made. I waited for that day to come, and every time that Jason rose his voice at me or slapped me I wondered if it would ever lead to such a thing. The event never came about though. Perhaps it was because Jason didn't like me? Perhaps it was because he was, in many ways like a small child constantly lashing out.
One night, I was trapped, there was nowhere for me to go, and he was coming. I could see Jason leering down at me, his fist raised above his head. I looked for a reason, common sense, I looked for something sane so that I might be able to reach out and stop this. I could see nothing from his eyes, and his thoughts were cold- it was no use to reason with him. This was his breaking point. I don’t know where he got so much rage or even why it was directed at me, his wife who he was supposed to care for. I had no choice. I reached behind me for something, anything that would stop his hand from making contact with me. My hand found a knife and with a swing, I slashed. My aim was true and I managed to cut his face. Somehow that only made Jason even more angry.
He lunged for me again, and this time, I thrust the knife forward, eyes closed. I didn’t know what else to do. But I felt the knife make contact. I didn’t want to look, but I opened my eyes and I saw pain, I hear a pain in my ears and mind. I watched as Jason fell to the ground and was no more. I had no choice then- I turned and fled. I ran to the only place I knew, my father’s home.
In the days following his death, I felt guilt. I stabbed my husband. There would be nothing for me in this city. I would go to prison, I would face a trial and I would most likely die. That would be the will of the gods and that would be the will of the people. I didn’t want to die, though, and so I fled, down the road leading away from Athens.
It was a long way down the road which Luna traveled. Her father missed her very much and wanted her home. He believed that Luna would not have been found guilty, but she had left before he had a chance to put in his word. She traveled for days, ragged and starving she found herself on the side of the road, too tired and sick to go on. Luna traveled for about two years, she stayed in some cities where families allowed her to stay as travelers were not uncommon but she never stayed for more than two days.
It was late one night that the goddess Artemis found Luna sitting on that road and spoke to her. Artemis asked Luna if she would like to join the huntresses and live an immortal life away from men. She accepted in hopes of finding a purpose for her life, meaning, and some happiness.
Eternal Life
Becoming a huntress was a choice that Luna doesn’t regret. She found friends, sisters among the ranks of the hunters and that was enough for her. Of course, they would never replace her own family, but it was close enough and finally, Luna felt like she had a family, like there were people that would look out for her, safe and secure.
The first night I was with the hunters of Artemis, I felt like there was a calmness around me as we sat in the woods, a small fire in front of us. I found my place. The other girls there were all about my age I think, some were older, and from their eyes, it was apparent that they were much older than their appearance. I felt a kinship with them, like I could trust them. Some of them were mortals and others were Demigods. I can’t say that I was surprised that there were other demigods- my father couldn’t be the only one. The only shocking thing I found out from that night was that I too, was a demigod.
Artemis told me a before I decided to join although my parentage was still yet to be determined. I told her that my father was a son of Apollo and she didn’t seem surprised by that either. I think that the gods know more than they let on sometimes. It wasn’t until the second night as a hunter that I found out my true parentage. My mother, Athena claimed me as her daughter as a symbol of an owl appeared over my head, glowing purple in color.
In the years following becoming a hunter, Luna joined her new sisters and tracked monsters. The goddess came and went, sometimes assisting the hunters and other times off doing her own immortal business. The leader of the huntresses was a woman by the name of Euthalia and it was she who led the girls across Greece and to lands that were unknown to most of the other Greeks.
Several years after becoming a huntress, Luna returned home for a visit. The hunters were in the area and she decided to stop and see how her family was doing. It had been fourteen long years since she’d visited. Naturally Luna appeared the same, however, everyone else had aged so much. Both her sisters had married and her brother had a wife of his own. They all seemed to be doing well, or at least, that was what Luna thought. There was a time that Luna decided that not all men were necessarily bad, but it was soon changed when she saw how her sister Odessa’s husband treated her. He was uncaring, stayed out late and obviously fraternized with other women. He strayed away, was not loyal. Luna confronted her sister about it, but it was obvious they had different ideas of what a marriage looked like and the two parted on bitter terms. After that, Luna never saw any of her family again.
The years went on and the legendary Trojan war arrived. Luna personally thought that it was not worth warring over a woman. She was free to choose her own man and yet Menelaus and Agamemnon would not relent. She personally didn’t care what happened to the two brothers, nor did she care about Paris and Helen, but it wasn’t only a war for love, it seemed that all of the gods were taking sides, fighting their own battle. Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite all claimed to be the fairest. It was a silly war and it was difficult for Luna to choose a side; Athena, her mother chose to side with the Greeks, and Artemis sided with the Trojans. While she wanted to stand by her mother, Luna saw something else as well. Menelaus and Agamemnon were no gentlemen- at least from what she’d heard and, of course, Helen should have the choice to do what she wanted, just as Artemis had given Luna that chance. Ultimately, Luna decided to fight for the Trojans.
The Punic wars came and went, which were not really of any interest to Luna. She didn’t fight in any of them but she watched the destruction of empires and the rise of new ones. When Rome came and took over most of Europe and surrounding areas. She was aware that there were things beyond Greece now, that the Greek empire was now gone and the glory of Rome was now in power. It was the new west. The gods were different sometimes now and the Romans insisted on different aspects of the gods, more militaristic and focused. Perhaps it was to be expected as the culture was vastly different yet similar in other ways. Artemis was still her goddess and the hunt continued.
[Fast Forward]
The heart of western civilization changed to America, Manhattan to be exact and the hunters followed. Luna learned the ways of the Americans. Several years ago, she fought in the Second Titan War and spent time in Camp Half-blood in the hunter’s cabin. For the most part, she enjoyed getting to know some of her siblings and other campers.
When the twin titans came and persuaded the Romans to condemn their Greek counterparts. Luna was not exactly there for it. She was off running errands, but when she returned to find the attack, she fought to defend Camp Half-Blood. Luna was against attacking other camps anyhow, she didn’t see the reason in it. At the present, Luna is conflicted about siding. She believes that it would be wise to join Greek and Roman demigods together to face the Titans. She currently is working for herself though she is eager to help both Roman and Greek demigods alike though she does not think a fight between the two sides would be wise.

Powers & Abilities

Child of Athena
Telekinesis
Being able to move things with the mind is pretty cool, especially if you’ve been around long enough to experiment with it. With this ability, Luna is able to lift objects with her mind, fling them a distance, send them flying if you will. She can lift several objects at once- of course, they have to be of a smaller size the more objects she tries to lift. Sometimes in battle, Luna is able to stop / slow things down which are coming toward her. Of course, if she doesn’t see the projectile or can’t think fast enough to react, she cannot stop it or slow it down. This can be useful in battle especially.
- limitations: Luna cannot lift anything more than a car… and even that she can’t send flying- lift- yeah. throw at you, no. She must have time to react in order for her power to work. Sometimes things are out of reflex, however, she can’t stop arrows flying at her when she doesn’t know you’re there / can’t see the arrow. Lastly, which might seem obvious, but Luna must be able to see the object/s.
Telepathy
Hearing people’s thoughts isn’t always a gift. Sometimes it can be a curse. Luna doesn’t really like hearing the things people hear- most of it is because she thinks that it is invading their privacy. Honestly, sometimes it can get a little boring for her. She has better things to do with her time.
- limitations: Luna can hear people’s thoughts within maybe a mile or two. The more familiar the person, the easier it is to pick out their ‘thoughts’. Of course, she can’t speak to anyone else unless they themselves are telepathic. Straining to hear people too far away can cause migraines as well.
Natural Talents
Also as a child of the goddess of wisdom, there isn’t much that Luna doesn’t remember. She naturally remembers many things- perhaps not everything but, at least, the things that are very important to her. Luna learns easily and can be taught things faster than most people- however, it isn’t an overnight process. It can take several weeks to months for her to master any given subject. Luna is also able to come up with many tactical plans.. though sometimes it does get in the way of her everyday life… she can get caught up thinking too much.
Legacy of Apollo
Luna’s father was a son of Apollo and he passed down his minor pyrokinesis ability. Luna can make fires with the snap of her fingers, but only small flames sometimes sparks. Sure, it only takes a spark to make something light, but she can’t do anything more than throw a small fireball- but that takes a lot of effort. She has a natural flare for music, but it could be her father’s fascination that rubbed off on her. Also, Luna isn’t at all fireproof and so creating fire can be enough effort to make her feel weak and of course, slow her down. It is easier for her to manipulate a fire that already exists like making if flare up for effect or something.
- limitations: she cannot make large fires, make shapes out of her flames other than a ball. she can throw balls of fire, but they are exhausting for her and her limit is perhaps two or so per day- unless its lighting a candle, which is simple enough for her. she can alter the temperature of the flames to some degree as well. if she uses this ability too much in one day it can cause her to burn up / have a fever.
Hunter of Artemis
Immortality
Although the hunters of artemis are immortal, it is conditional. Like all the other hunters, Luna cannot die from sickness or age, however she can die in battle and of course by breaking the oath that makes her who she is.
Precision Aiming
Artemis was known for being an archer and because of that, Luna doesn’t miss a target.
Enhanced Speed / Strength
Luna is able to move faster than most demigods. She is also a bit stronger than the average demigod as well.
Communication with Wildlife
Able to communicate with other wildlife. Oftentimes the animals
Silver Aura
A silvery shimmery aura surrounds Luna at all times declaring her status as a hunter of Artemis.
