One of the characteristics about Daniel that stands out is his energetic ambience, and he’s oftentimes full of vigor and energy, oftentimes it is anxious energy. He’s easily stressed out, and oftentimes anxiety drives a lot of his inattentiveness. He gets caught up in his thoughts easily, and he’s somewhat absentminded. He’s outgoing and cheerful, with a bright smile. He’s eager to please, and oftentimes will do something dangerous and reckless if asked to do so. He’s got an eye out for other people too, and personal loyalty is a thing he takes seriously. He’s not too relaxed, but he’s cheery and generally pleasant to be around. He finds ways to busy himself, often through physical activity, as it calms him down. Finding something to busy himself is the key to managing his anxiety.
He’s also got a cocky streak, and he is not afraid of a challenge, or initiating one, even it ends with a few cuts or a black eye. He can be quite antagonistic, but it’s more in a jeering or teasing way rather than violence, he’ll irritate you to death.
Daniel’s biggest fear is autophobia, or a severe fear of abandonment. He gets highly suspicious of people, and can seem somewhat clingy. His greatest fear is that he’s going to be left alone, and that is something he dwells on often. The hardest part about this is that it makes it hard to develop close relationships with people, because Daniel is afraid to bring them close enough to leave him and hurt him. This barrier stops people from entering deep interpersonal relations, and will always make him somewhat distant. He has many acquaintances, but very few true friends. This comes from the death of his friends, which caused his intial loneliness and isolation. He’s just now beginning to open up.

History

Fríða Frederiksdóttir was happily married to Heimir, the two of them having a two year old daughter, Elisabet, in the Icelandic city of Kópavogur. Fríða worked at the local post office part time, whilst her husband, Heimer, was a banker. It was one day at Fríða’s work when she met a charming man in disguise as a customer, and she was completely smitten for him, even though she knew it was wrong to have attraction to someone besides her spouse. The two of them met up, and they had a one night stand, resulting in Daniel’s conception. Of course, with her husband too, Fríða didn’t think that her child was one of this strangers, instead thinking it to be her and Heimer's own, seeing as they were trying for another child around the same time.
Daniel had a well off childhood, he and his sister were very close. They were part of a relatively small community, in Kópavogur, Iceland. Preschools were close and small groups of children, all of whom got along with Daniel well, and he made friends easily.
Increase of debt and economic instability led Heimer and Fríða to relocate from the island when Daniel was 7, moving to the city of Melbourne, Australia. Not that moving from a small island country of 300,000 people to a city of 4,000,000 is easy by any regards, but the family of four made it happen. For Daniel, it was very hard, especially with a language barrier. He had very little English speaking skills at such a young age, the only things he knew were from what he saw on television, which were often his favorite cartoons, in English with Icelandic subtitles.
Going to school was an entirely different experience for Daniel, seeing as he used to go to a very small school for his first year of education, he was going to school with kids who had been in school for far longer than he had, and those who were native English speakers. This set him apart from other kids, and he often had to get academic help for his ADHD and bad English. Throughout his first year though, he picked up English incredibly quick, and found it easier to get along with his newfound friends. He liked attention, especially that given to him when he impressed someone with something he could do. He made friends easily wherever he went, and he had that kind of outgoing personality that made it easy to get along with him.
One of his Australian friends, James, introduced him to skateboarding at a local park, and Daniel fell in love with it, for it’s exhilarating satisfaction for his danger-loving self. He was one of the popular kids in elementary school, and got everyone’s attention when he was doing some cool maneuvers on his board. The three years he lived in Australia, he loved it.
However, when Daniel was 10, everything changed. For one, there was a large wolf on the doorstep of their home on the outskirts of Melbourne, saying that Daniel was the child of a Roman god, and that he’d have to leave with her to go to California. To say that was a shocker to the family was an understatement. What happened to Daniel Heimersson, his friends wouldn’t know. The family left Australia, moving back to Iceland soon after Daniel left.
Meanwhile, Daniel was at the Wolf House, training with Lupa for his entry into the Legion. He was nothing particularly special, especially with defense training, and his quick reflexes and speed made offensive combat techniques a lot easier for him, a fast striker. In about a year’s time, he found himself in the ranks of the Fourth Cohort in the Roman Legion. He didn’t really have all too much trouble, except for the occasional wallet snagging off someone. It was really no surprise to anyone that he was claimed by Mercury. He made friends with some of the camp easily, those who were more open and like-minded found Daniel to be cool, rather than some of the others who saw some of his shenanigans as worthless and found problems with his cocky attitude. He’d gotten into his fair share of fights during his time in the Legion.
During the war, Daniel fought alongside the Legion against the Greeks. All of his closest friends were killed in midst of the conflict, and that was something Daniel has found hard to get over, and even though he has the same friendly attitude as before, it’s harder to make friends with him, and he hasn’t gotten around to making many new mates yet. However, what this has led to was Daniel's development of PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It closed him off to a lot of people, and he's medicated for the disorder, though he also finds other ways to manage his condition, keeping himself busy off the intrusive and invasive thoughts that can threaten him having a good day. His constant stress isolated him from most people, and forming relationships will be a struggle for him.

POWERS & ABILITIES
[attr="class","section"]
SPEED TRAVEL: This power grants Daniel the ability to go wherever he wants, by thinking about it, as a means of transportation. However, one of the limitations on this ability is that he is limited by distance. The farther the location is, or less specific it is, it will take more from him to go there, which means he can use this ability less until he gains the energy to do so again. He’s trained with it frequently, meaning that it is the ability he is well versed in using, and as a result he’s gotten to be highly talented with how he uses it, to make the most of it.
SPEED COMBAT: Daniel’s able to move faster than a normal demigod, with quick reflexes and the ability to power more attacks in a shorter time-frame. This ability can be more of a less intentional one rather than the other, because he doesn’t often have to think about being particularly fast or activating it, it just happens. Daniel often can hold the upper hand in a fight, unless compared to a particularly strong demigod, whether they are extremely well trained or powerful, such as a Mars, Big Three, or some Titans.
NATURAL ABILITIES: Daniel can mess around with locks, opening them, relocking them and whatnot. This works on most locks, unless they are magic/have had some kind of divine intervention to make them harder to break into. Electronics are particularly hard too, and no, he cannot automatically get onto your iPhone. Electronics do not like this ability. Being a child of Mercury, he is an innate thief, and stealing things and breaking in is second nature to him. He can also sense the locations of traps or other dangers, which comes to him like an innate sense of location.
