For starters, Azalea is really laidback. She takes everything in a calm manner, and isn't usually one to freak out in a difficult situation. The only bad thing about this is..she's a little too relaxed. She seems so carefree about things that it's a little disconcerting. So relaxed that it almost seems fake. The reality is that she worries a lot, but prefers to bottle everything up. In her opinion there are things a lot worse- and a lot more important- than her own worries. Azalea would really like to help other people before she ever worries about herself. She holds her friends in a more higher esteem than she holds herself. In her eyes, they're more important.
Azalea is also friendly, preferring to make friends quickly and easily. She's not one to pick a fight with a random stranger, or a friend. She holds no grudges or vendettas around anyone, unless they hurt a loved one. But she does not like personal conflict. That isn't to say that she's weak, however. She is quite the opposite, really. She can throw punches and hold her own in a fight if necessary. Wrap you up in vines that she'll make squeeze the life out of you, like a snake. If she loses her temper, she will lose control and might be able to actually kill you. When her temper flares up, it's a scary thing. Her tongue and wit are as sharp as a knife.
She is graceful, when she's not intoxicated of course. Most of the time she walks tall and proud, with her head held high. Sometimes she likes to carry herself like royalty, because she's confident and isn't afraid to let anyone know. She has no lack of faith in herself, but on occasion there are seeds of doubt planted in her heart. No matter how brave she acts, she is scared. When drunk, Azalea is a completely different person. She's loud, prickly and loves to tell inappropriate jokes. She is also more touchy feely, even bordering on clingy. Azalea is by no means an alcoholic, but she does like to drink often. One of the perks of being twenty-two is that no fake i.d's are needed, and she can drink whenever she wants.
Azalea likes to pretend that she's stronger than she really is, braver than she really is. She likes to daydream of being a hero, someone who can save people. Ever since arriving in the joint camp, she's been learning how to fight. Just enough to defend herself, just enough to prove that she can indeed protect someone. And although she does have a sharp mind, she is still very easy to manipulate. Very easy to take advantage of.

History
[attr="class","section"]
Azalea Pierce grew up never knowing her mother. She only knew her father, and he was very loving. He hardly talked about her mother, and when he did it was always with a sad smile. On occasion he would show Azalea a photograph of her- a lovely woman with brown hair and green eyes. He told her that she was a kind woman, and she grew sad that she'd never known her. According to him, she was left on his doorstep one night in a cradle. Not the best idea to tell an eight year-old girl that her mother abandoned her..didn't want her. She didn't seem to listen when he said her mother couldn't take care of her. That was the only way. But she did not have a bad childhood. Her father was a good companion, and was both mother and father to her.
On her way home from school, Azalea was attacked by a monster for the first time. The monsters she'd had nightmares about were real. She'd hardly managed to escape with just a scratch, running back home as fast as she could. Her heart pounding. She was eleven years old, and demanding her father to tell her what was really going on. New York seemed like a darker place now, a scary place. And though she was no longer afraid of the dark, she was now afraid of something much worse. When her twelfth birthday was nearing, she saw another strange creature- this time it wasn't hostile. Half man and half goat, with horns on his head and twinkling eyes. He had no intentions of harming her, much to her relief. He explained to her what she was: a demigod. Half human and half God. Her mother was a Greek Goddess, and she had a hard time believing it until she saw Camp Half-Blood.
Camp Half-Blood was quite possibly the most beautiful place she'd ever seen. When Demeter claimed her, she finally knew who her mother was. It didn't take her very long to settle in the Demeter cabin, and to her absolute delight she made fast friends with her half siblings, one of them being Lily Rose. Azalea fell in love with everything. The fields, the lake, the lively campfires and the ever exhilarating game of Capture The Flag. She grew older, and more confident, discovering who she was. She was like a rose, pretty but with sharp thorns that would pierce you if you weren't careful. But of course all good things had to end. The war came like a very rude wake up call. The good dream that had been camp slowly became a nightmare as there was war and bloodshed. Such a cruel way to wake up a dreaming princess.
Azalea couldn't bring herself to fight. She stayed behind, tending to the wounded and singing them lullabies. Praying to any God that was listening that they would end up in Elysium. If no one could save them, she mourned. Mourned for her new home, mourned for her half-siblings and cousins. Nephews, nieces. And despite everything that happened, she didn't hate the Romans. She understood why they did it- they'd both lost their home, after all. Their brothers, sisters, cousins. Their blood for the sake of Demeter. When it became apparent that they had to fight together, Azalea went to the joint camp. To the Greek renegades, she would be considered a traitor. She supposed that in everyone else's eyes, they were traitors as well. Everyone was a traitor now. Deep down she knew that nothing would ever be the same. This time around, she is willing to fight for her friends and family.

Powers & Abilities
[attr="class","section"]
Atmokinesis and Chlorokinesis. As a child of Demeter, Azalea possesses the ability of Atmokinesis-she can manipulate the atmosphere and the weather to a certain degree. Though for her, it's very limited. She also has Cholorkinesis, the ability to control and create plants(almost anything except for flowers). While she is able to do this, she cannot do it for more than a certain time before collapsing from exhaustion. Besides these two powers, she has many abilities. As a daughter of Demeter, she has a green thumb and is an excellent cook. She likes to make new dishes- foreign ones, even strange ones. Azalea also has a knack for physical combat, though most people really wouldn't expect that from a child of Demeter. Though she isn't nearly as good as others are in combat, she can hold her own in a fight. She certainly knows enough to shut up someone who calls her weak.
