The ship rocked gently on the waves as Kadence lay her head on the pillows of the bed in the Captain's Quarters. She didn't like spending the night in the tent at camp, having grown accustomed to the familiar rocking of the sea. After sailing the Queen Anne's Revenge to their new camp, it was hard for Kadence to not have become rather attatched to the ship. She missed Sebastian, very much in fact, and being on the ship made her feel like he was there. Even after everything they had been through, with Balt, and the twins, and everything else, she and Seb had still managed to remain close. Then he disappeared, and she assumed the worst. Sebastian Crane was dead, in the Underworld, and not ever coming back. At least that was what she had told herself, even if it broke her heart, but the ring he had given her hung around her neck on the chain with her locket. She didn't completely give up on him.
Judas came to her one day, out of the blue, and though she was surprised to see him, she didn't hesitate in helping him get to the Underworld. With her new found powers she was able to realm jump, and that was the first thing she was happy to do. She took Judas straight there, though she had never jumped with anyone before, and it practically landed her on her butt. She was exhausted and she knew she couldn't jump all three of them back, not without killing her. Judas insisted that she go back alone, and though she was terrified she tried to stay, and he wouldn't have it. Kade went back to camp, alone, and afraid. The fear that neither of them would make it back was enough to keep her awake for days. She had yet to hear a word from them, and she debated every day on going back, even if it might lead to them being upset with her for putting herself back in danger.
Tonight, with the moon high in the sky, full and glowing over the water, Kadence had sat on the deck for hours. Balt was "strategizing" with Angel, so Kade knew she was going to be alone, so she went to the Queen Anne to be alone, instead of sleeping on the Lady. Things were as complicated as they had been before, back at Camp Half Blood over a year ago. A few things had changed but there was still that looming problem of not only the Titans, but of oaths made that would bring about fates worth than death. Kade watched the moon for hours before going to the cabin, pulling off her dress, she slipped on a shirt that had belonged to Seb, one she wore when she was upset. The bed had been cold and she had wrapped the blankets around her as much as possible, hoping against hope that she would finally sleep, a dreamless sleep at that.
She held the locket and ring in her hand as she lay there, her dark eyes slowly closing, until she heard the distinct sound of feet on the deck. Her eyes narrowed and she grabbed a dagger, unsheathing it, and barefoot slipped out of the bed and hid behind the door. No one was going to get away with trying to steal a single thing from the ship. None of it was hers, not really, outside of some clothes, but everything was Seb's and she would be damned if some jack ass wannabe theif was going to steal from him. Seeing the figure enter the room she slipped quickly out of the shadows behind them, wrapping her arm around them and holding the dagger tight against their throat, " You have pretty big balls to try to steal anything on this ship."

The sea of dreams bringing me closer to you Normally the first person he would have visited upon returning to camp would have been Kadence Lightwood, the woman he'd sacrificed his soul for almost a year ago, but these weren't normal circumstances and the fact that it was nearly eleven at night made him want to seek the comforting embrace of his ship. He really wasn't sure which one of his two ladies he had missed more; Kadence or the Queen Anne? Alright, that question wasn't all that hard to answer, the Queen Anne was his true love, despite what he may have told anyone else, including Kade, in the past. Then again, he didn't spend a year being tortured by a foul woman that took the Queen Anne's face, but a lot of unspeakable acts had been done to him by a woman who number of assumed Kade's face on occasions.
The moon was high in the sky tonight and reflected off the South Carolina waters as his feet hit the dock. It was incredibly bright out this evening so there was no need for any type of flashlight or torch, but Sebastian watched the shadows anyway, cautious of the unfamiliar dark and what lurked within it. After Judas and Scarlett were kidnapped by the whip wielding, Titan aligned son of Kratos, who seemed to have Elodie wound tightly around his finger, he was overly uncertain of the darkness. Call it a force of habit forced by circumstance, but he never wanted to be caught off guard like that again. As he stood on the dock, admiring his own ship, he had a cigarette posed between his lip and he exhaled a thin trail of smoke from his nose, getting lost in thought for the moment.
Sebastian sighed after a few brief minutes of reflection over the past year, tossed his cigarette into the water behind him, and proceeded to board the Queen Anne's Revenge like a proper sea captain. He moved to the deck with a drunken swagger, his flask somehow magically finding its way into his hand during his quiet contemplation, and his hand ran over the wheel, coaxing a genuine smile out of him that felt foreign and almost... forbidden. Happiness wasn't something he was accustomed to lately, not with Scarlett's announcement, the kidnapping, and the ever present reminder that he now had two of the three big three gods gunning for his head. Honestly, being alive wasn't all that cracked up to me. Sure, it was a lot better than suffering eternal damnation at the hands of a sadistic dominatrix, but at least the dominatrix allowed him time to recuperate, no matter how brief it was.
Eventually, he decided that it was time to turn in for the night and and he slowly staggered towards the captain's quarters, the idea that someone may be occupying it never crossing his mind. He fumbled with the door for a second before pushing it open, the moonlight illuminating the empty nest that was his bed. His drunken stupor made the bed more appealing than what it was, like a siren's song calling through the night to lure this poor, drunk sailor to his death, and because of his current state of inebriation he failed to notice the slender, feminine figure poised conveniently for attack behind him until the dagger was already at his throat. The words, "you have pretty big balls to try to steal anything on this ship." was hissed into his ear and he couldn't help but chuckle.
"You would know, love, you've had them in your mouth after all," he retorted, his accent think and filled with snarky amusement. "Oh Kadence Lightwood, I did miss you so."

The dagger almost slipped out of her grip as Kade heard that familiar accent, all the snark behind it just made it even more so surprising. There were nights when Kade could swear she heard him calling her name. She would wake up to it, then realize she was alone, and pull a pillow to her chest and just cry herself back to sleep. Kadence blamed herself for what she assumed was the demise of Sebastian Crane. She had thought he had died, and would forever be in the underworld. She had thought about trying to find him there, on more than one occasion, but she was afraid. Kade hated to feel afraid, it was that feeling that she was weak that drove her insane. Kade had endured a lot, between the tortures from Cosmos and Celestia and their plans to ruin her, and the camp, to her heart being torn between two men who she loved very much. It was maddening. The fact that Sebastian was alive made her heart leap in her chest, and she wondered vaguely if this was just a dream. Was Seb actually there or was she just hoping so much that he was that it had finally pushed her off the deep end?
She finally pulled the dagger way from him, dropping it to the floor as she merely stared at the back of his head for a moment. This couldn't be possible. Yes she had realm jumped Judas into the underworld hoping he would find him, but seeing Seb actually standing there, in the cabin of his own ship,it was enough to make Kade want to sink to the floor and cry her eyes out. This was insanity. Finally she grabbed his arm gently in her hand and turned him to face her. " Sebastian Crane..I thought you were dead!" Narrowing her eyes as she looked at him she couldn't help it, she reached up and slapped him across the face, no where near as hard as she could but enough to prove her point, " Don't you EVER do that to me again Crane!" she pursed her lips as she looked at him and her emotions really took over. She couldn't help herself. Wrapping her arms around his neck she pressed her lips to his a kiss filled with fiery passion that she just couldn't keep under control as she pushed him back onto the bed and climbed over him, looking down at the face of the man that she had thought for a year was dead and gone. A face that had haunted her dreams for what felt like ages. It broke her heart into a million pieces when the battle at Camp Half Blood had ended and he was still no where to be found.
For months she had been merely angry, thinking that after all of this time he had taken the side of Cosmos and Celestia, even after everything they had done to them. The pain they had put them both through. Then she began to realize that he would not possibly do that to her. She would always reach up to touch his ring, the one she kept safe on the chain of the locket her father had given her. She hoped that one day he would come back for it at least, if not for her. She had a years worth of wishing he was alive, and when she finally accepted that he was likely dead, and he was never coming back, and then here he was. " I never thought I would see you again..." she held back the tears that were threatening to fall down her cheeks. Tears she had surpressed for as long as she could, but seeing him there, and alive, it made her heart soar. "Where were you Seb?"
