personality
LIKES // Romeo loves people and that's something that can easily get him into trouble as it leads him to talk with some less than friendly beings. What can he say though? Small-talk is simply his thing and sometimes it can escalate to be a little more than that. He doesn't see anything wrong in being friendly. He likes friendly people and the good vibes that they give off. Those vibes are good for writing poetry, you know?
DISLIKES // As Romeo loves people, he hates a lack of people. Probably the worst punishment you could ensue on this kid would be isolating him from people. Talking and forming bonds are two of his favorite things, so it would be the utmost torture to prevent him from doing those two things. Like wise, sitting still is another thing he hates and seems incapable of doing. He always needs to be moving around or he gets twitchy...Getting him to concentrate on one thing is another hurtle to jump.
DREAMS // Romeo left his mother on a bad note. He has tried many times to contact her and apologize, though there has been no luck doing so. She doesn't want anything to do with him whilst he's fighting for the cause that he clings to. He hopes that, one day, she'll see that he's doing the right thing and listen to him...
FEARS // There are a few things that this young man fears greatly. At the lead is death, which every man fears. Then there is the hurt and fear of being abandoned by the ones he cares for, stemming from the loss of his mother. Finally, he fears his cause might be wrong or that perhaps it is right. The uncertainty is what makes it the most scary thing of all.
++++++++
Accessible // Romeo is not one of those kids that seems unapproachable. In fact, he gives off a vibe that is quite the opposite of such things. He is overly friendly and willing to chat with almost anyone. He tends to wear his heart on his sleeve, drawing people in with his open nature and his never fading smiles.
Adventurous // Going new places and doing new things is just something that Romeo is into. He loves traveling, even if it can be quite dangerous, and new experiences are always welcome with him. If its a new food or seeing a new person, he's probably in. (Unless its bugs cause ew.)
Airy // Romeo isn't serious about a lot of things. It isn't that he doesn't want to be, but more that he doesn't feel a need to be. He much rather joke about things and keep a light atmosphere, something easier for him to read.
Benevolent // When Romeo was younger, he would be the one out of his siblings to carry hurt birds back home or rescue kittens out of trees. He's a kindly soul. Fights aren't his thing and when people are hurt, he's the first to jump into action to help them. Its hard for him, really, to refrain from helping the hurt or sick...Its a weakness of his...His mother used to call it a gift though, with his cause, there's less room for him to help everyone.
Clumsy // Tripping and falling are two things that Romeo is used to. From the time that he was very little, he's been doing it constantly. That's one of many reasons why he doesn't like fighting. He knows that, if he does end up fighting, he'll likely shoot one of his own on accident or end up tripping and getting impaled on a sword.
Curious // Curiosity killed the cat was one of his mother's favorite sayings. This was especially true when it came to her youngest child, Romeo. He was a child that could never keep his nose out of things. He was the one to snoop around the house at Christmas time or to eavesdrop on his parents. He was overly curious and still is. New people are interesting, something to figure out, as are new sights and smells, voices and feelings. He supposes his curiosity is a part of his adventurous nature and he welcomes it with open arms, even if it gets him into trouble.
Energetic // Romeo, as with many demigods, has a form of ADHD. He has a terrible time trying to sit still and keeping him on topic is near impossible at times. When he sits, he bounces his leg or plays with one of his rings. When he's on topic, he's thinking about five hundred different things in the back of his mind. There isn't much you can do to settle him down because even without the ADHD he would be bouncing off the walls. He's especially bad around new people.
Foolish // Being overly forgiving can be seen as stupid. Being clumsy can make you a laughing stock. Being like a child, adventurous and too curious for your own good can get you killed. All of these things are foolish and yet they make up most of Romeo's personality. Seeing these as good things...well...they make it much worse.
Forgiving // A fatal flaw is something that all people have. Some have more than others and some just have one. Being forgiving is one of Romeo's fatal flaws. He has the tendency, even when people have hurt him badly, to give them second and third chances. He believes that all people can change; therefore, they deserve as many chances as it takes.
Naive // People are good and, even if they're bad, they can change. Its a nice thing to think...but its a stupid thing to believe. Romeo is Naive, living by this standard. He'll do pretty much anything to show that people can change and that things can be good, even if they seem bad at one point.

background
Born // May 24
Mother // Wendy Louis, later Wendy David.
Father // Apollo, Kennedy David - step-father.
Siblings // Matthew and Ronald David - step-brothers.
Romeo's early life was rather boring. He was born a healthy baby boy and spent much of his first few years as such with a few colds here and there. That was really the worst of it then. It was when he turned seven that he really started to realize things were odd. He'd see things that he couldn't explain, such as large creatures roaming in the alleyways or odd people in the crowds around their New York City apartment. His mother always seemed slightly nervous, though he never said much knowing that it would make her upset. He was a mommy's boy and that meant he didn't like making her worry at all.
It was when he was nine that things finally got a little crazy. He had gone downstairs to grab a snack out of one of the vending machines when a large man tried to grab him. Romeo screamed which alerted one of the security guards, the man coming to save him from the other. The guard took him home once the other disappeared and explained to his mother what had happened. Though the guard didn't seem too distraught beyond the normal reaction, his mother looked absolutely terrified.
She packed his bags that night and he always looks back on that time as the worst feeling in the world. He stood in the doorway, watching his mother cry and try to explain that she was taking him somewhere safe.
The next day, they headed out and a long ways from their home. Romeo went quietly though he had to wonder why his mother was doing such a thing when the guard didn't seem overly worried like her. She'd tried to explain the monsters and things like that, though Romeo hadn't taken a single word of it to heart. His mother had told him before that things like that didn't exist...It was odd that she would tell him otherwise now.
She took him to the top of a big hill and pointed down the other side of it. A peck to his forehead, pushing a letter into his hands, and bestowing her silver locket on him was all that she did before leaving. He ran down the other side of the hill, feeling a array of emotions.
Romeo came to see this new place as home for a little while: Camp Half-Blood. He learned many new things there like archery and how to work his healing powers a lot better than before. Things were good and he met some wonderful friends while at camp, staying in the Hermes cabin for the first two years and then the Apollo cabin for the other four.
It was when he was fourteen that he began wondering about things outside of camp, mainly his mother. Over the years, he'd kept up with her by letter though since his first year she'd gotten married and adopted two boys with her husband. He wanted to meet them and be apart of that, but there was the hurtle of asking his mother if he could come home. In the end he took the jump and came back for school that year. He got to spend some quality time with his brothers, both being jerks to him, and he also got to spend some nicer time talking poetry with his step-dad.
New friends came with school and he turned fifteen in a flash which was all fun in his eyes; however, as the summer came to a close, things took a turn for the worse. He was on his way home from school and was suddenly captured by a group of kids about his age. They traveled for days, and though he struggled, he didn't mange to get away from them. He was taken to the Sea of Monsters and held prisoner there by the Titans for months. Finally, he was given a chance to join them and took it...This choice he would speak to his mother of later on through iris-message, getting her firm disapproval and full wrath over his choice.
To this day, he wonders if he would take a chance to go back to his old life if it presented itself. The cause he clings to now might be for the better, but what if its really not...? What if his mother was right?

POWERS & ABILITIES
Vitakinesis // Romeo has always been gifted with the ability to heal others. When he was younger and he would find birds hurt on the pavement, he would pick them up. Singing to them, he would find, could heal their little broken wings and repair them good as new. He would extend this gift to using it on his own wounds and his family, though his mother would always warn him not to with his friends. He listened for once and he he's only regretted that a few times.
Healing birds and other small creatures is nothing to the young man. He can do it often and this also applies to small human wounds. Things like little cuts and scrapes easily go away, as do some burns. Its only with the bigger things that it gets difficult. Poison, deep cuts in vital areas, and other things that can kill, they can be healed, though there is a price of Romeo's energy. The biggest jobs can leave him unconscious for days.
Bringing people back from the dead is impossible, at least that's what he believes. In all honesty, he's afraid to try as he thinks it would mean his own death to take their place if he did.
Photokinesis // A more minor power of his is photokinesis. He can control light when it is present in an area. He can only manipulate small amounts in short periods of time, though its enough to need mention. Things he can do include raising the intensity of the light or dimming it as well as changing the color a tad.
