Nikki was sitting down on the ground in the alley behind the club she worked at, squealing with joy at the fresh pack of sidewalk chalk she bought herself. This was what she needed, she has been feeling heartbroken for so long and she is so sick of feeling sick. She laid out her chalks in order of alphabetical color, making sure they were all neat and organized. With a crack of her knuckles, she set to work on her new masterpiece.
With a swipe of the white chalk, she set the scenery with a rough scribbled circle, leaving plenty of room in the middle for her to work with. She grabbed light blue and took her time detailing a wine jar, alternating with a darker blue for the lines to give the jar design. Then with a swipe of a dark red chalk, she started overflowing the street art with wine pouring out of the jar. This was a color she had looked forever on the Internet for, it was so hard to find. Her tongue stuck out as she worked, only now careful with each stroke to leave room for the lettering.
When she was finally done, she tossed the nearly worn through chalk to the rest. With a moan, she popped her back. She hadn't realized how long she had been sitting there. But as she stood up, she surveilled her work with pride. It was an overflowing wine jar, with the wine spilled into the middle. But she wrote letters in the wine by not coloring the space, and it read "FUCK YOU" in strong capital letters. She pulled out her phone and took a picture, giggling. But then she saw the time, and squeaked with shock. She went to start this on break and her shift was almost over. "Shiiiit!" She sang, rushing back inside to go back to the bar. If she wasn't so close to Sebastian she'd be fired.
She had chalk on her face and hands, but she dusted the chalk off of her hands behind the bar. "Sorry, hi how may I help you?" She spun around to the bar, setting up the bottles appropriately to continue her work as she dealt with a customer. She looked up at one of the dancers on stage, sighing with admiration as she poured one of her customers a drink. She probably looked a mess, but she didn't know or care much for it. She just wanted to get off the bar.
