Baltazar is very charismatic he has been since he was young, how else do you think pirates get away with so much? Balt uses his charming charismatic ways to win over the adoration of others, he does his best to inspire others so that they follow him into battle or even respect him as an authority. He was given his leadership position due to his charisma and charm. For being a child of Poseidon he is extremely intelligent and his knowledge is not purely about water despite all the rumors. He knows plenty of useless information but not nearly as much as an Athena child. Balt know plenty it just depends on if he decided to use his smarts or if he wants to let people think hes just a pirate. Since the war balt has become extremely realistic, he will tell someone how it is in the real world, he does not believe in sugar coating things to make others feel better, this is a time of war not some peaceful land. Balt keeps things real and while some people might think this is a bad trait he finds it to be something more realistic. Balt is an extremely orderly leader, he sets rules and he expects them to be followed, so help him if you dont do what hes asked of you as a demi god in his camp. Order helps keep people alive and he expects people to respect his choices. Order means living people.
Balt is an authoritarian meaning that he liked to be the one calling the shots, the big dog, or in his case the leader of the Greeks. He does NOT like to be challenged with his decisions and he feels his word is law, he will not lash out right away for being ignored however its probably not wise to upset this pirate. Since the war balt has become pretty impassive, he literally has little feelings now a days since he was betrayed by the man he thought he once loved, lost the girl he thought he`d always have, and lost his home. Being impassive has helped him to grow and better keep an unbiased vote in the war council and the war itself. With little to no regret he and emotions hes become a war machine. Balt is what we call an noncommittal man, he has a hard time settling down with anyone due to the betrayal and things that have happened in his life, it not common to see him sleeping around or having numerous relationships with numerous people. The old Balt was a peoples person but now hes as reserved as they come, he keeps to himself as much as possible and refuses to share little to anything with the people around him if he doesnt have to, hes the leader of the Greeks and spends most the time in his tent if he can help it. Balt is also very stern and extremely strict on his campers, he wants to keep as many of them alive as he can. He will punish anyone who breaks his rules and its never a good idea to not listen to the pirate of the camp, lets face it pirates are mean.
Balt is an abrasive man, he comes off as harsh some times but he means it in the best of ways. While some people might think this to be the meaner side of Baltazar the truth is he does this to keep people out of harms way and to keep people from getting close to him. Of course this next trait you might have guessed balt is an angry man, he hates the titans and what they caused for his life, his anger is mostly pinned up and directed towards the demi titan Cosmos and his annoyance of a twin sister Celestia. One trait Balt has kept is the fact that hes extremely devious, like many pirates before him he has spent his life learning to be sneaky and underhanded, of course some of the times this backfires on him and then he has to clean up the mess. One thing that Balt has picked up over the course of the war is to be extremely and I mean extremely suspicious of pretty much everyone and anyone who walks into his camp. Balt has a hard time allowing people in and well hes come to think the worst of pretty much anyone and everyone. You have to earn some serious trust with this male. Balts very last trait is one most people will dislike but well his last trait is that hes pretty unlovable. Baltazar Teach was born to Angelina Tatch daughter of the dreaded pirate Black Beard and the god Poseidon. Angelina was the pride and joy of Black Beard and out of fear of losing his only treasure he found a deserted island and forced the girl onto it only to be married to the man whom could prove himself worthy. Little did the captain know that his daughter had a admirer. The god Poseidon had taken a liking to the dark haired woman, he sought her out one night after the departure of her father. She turned him away in fear of what her father would think and a few months later she was to be married off to another captain arranged by her father. Poseidon did not like the idea of losing a woman who could bare him a strong sea worthy child so he disguised himself as Angelina`s future husband only to bed her. The next morning the real man showed up denying the accusations that Angelina made, her father thought her made and demanded she be locked on the island for the rest of her life.
Angelina lived on the island for the next nine months alone waiting for her father to return to see that she was not crazy. Upon his arrival he found the girl nine months pregnant and sent for the male whom was suppose to marry her. Angered that he`d turned on his own daughter Black Beard had the male killed and stuck around until the birth of Baltazar. The pirate never wanted to keep the babe and often threatened to leave the two to die but after seeing the boy strong and healthy he decided to take the child under his wing to become the next Black Beard. He named the boy for his father than gave him his real last name in order to keep him in the family loop. His mother however was no so lucky. Angelina was locked away into the castle where no man could ever touch her again and she never saw the baby grow up. After losing her father and her child Angelina grew ill and passed a few months later.
Growing up on the ship was never easy, Son of the captain or not. Black Beard said the child was his but no one cared all they wanted was to pillage and take what they could. He never had a mother instead a different woman would come and care for him then leave to please his "Father" as he grew up the routine kept to a tee and finally he got sick of being kept in the cellar. At the age of ten the boy wandered from his room to the deck, he began to navigate easily as if it was nothing and this caught black beards attention. For months this went on using the boy to find their way, using him as a distraction, anything and everything went. By the age of fourteen the male had become the son that every pirate wanted a sea born child who would never turn from his own kind.
Black Beard trained the boy in what it was to be a pirate, how to fight like a pirate, how to steal and win over women. Anything and everything one would need to live in the 17th century. For years Balt fallowed his grandfather thinking that he was his father. He fallowed him into the bloody battles, the stealing of treasure, and even the burning of villages. It wasn`t until seventeen that Black Beard decided to give him his own ship and crew that he would inherit once he hit a certain age. All of the treasures had been hidden on this ship and the boy was sent to go an find a secret place to hide it. Traveling without the captain did not settle well for the crew but they did as told and eventually found themselves at Calypso island,
Many of the men didnt make it through the trip, dying off here and there and eventually there was only a hand full of them left, but when they reached the island Calypso sent then away all but Baltazar. Baltazar was twelve when he lived with the titan, he spent many a days playing house with her and keeping her company, but all that changed after a good three hundred years, He longed to see his father and get off the island but with no ship or other option his future seemed bleak, only when Calypso allowed him to leave did Balt go. It took a great amount of courage to leave the island but Balt left and headed to the place his father would have wanted him to go, Camp Half Blood.
Along the way Balt found a child who was being attacked Balt quickly intervened and saved the girl, that girl was Kadence Lightwood. He helped her pack her things and with the help of Kadences mother they were taken to camp. Balt had been there through most of Kades life, hes been the role model, and even eventually the first love, but things never ran smoothly for the pair. Once they lived at camp things happened and as they grew thing changed, when they finally had a chance to be together Balt picked a Titan born child over Kadence, that boy was Cosmos. Surprisingly enough what started out as an attempt to keep his enemies close ended up with Balt falling in love, however when the time came Cosmos never felt the same supposedly and he cut off Baltazars hand leaving him with just a hook. Kadence was there to help through the hours of suffering and the time of hatred, and it only made balt meaner and stronger.
Before the loss of his hand Balt made friends with Sebastian Crane son of Oceanus who also loved Kadence, the two often fought to win the attention of the woman they loved. During this time they went on a quest looking for someone very special who had supposedly died but after hearing about the sighting of the Queen Annes Revenge Balt couldnt help but seek out his adoptive father. He met Elodie who had lived on Circes island and well her mother had supposedly trapped the demi god Blackbeard on the island. Balt, Kadence, and Sebastian along with a few other sailed to the island of circes to find the lost ship and rescue Baltazars adopted father. Well eventually they made it to their location and the extraction was a success but of course things went wrong and well someone died, not just anyone died but Blackbeard himself died in Baltazars arms. As he laid dying in Balts arm it became his biggest fear, to one day die without so much as a child, a legacy, anything that could continue on in the world. He held his adoptive father till the life drained from his eyes then he returned home with Kadence the Queen Anne Revenge at his back and now captained by Sebastian Crane.
Once the war broke out between the greeks and romans balt took over as the leader of Camp Half Blood, the war with Camp Jupiter lived on and well eventually both camps were destroyed in the war, some people from both sides split into their own camps they were called the renegades. As time went on the Titan Hybrid children proved to be more powerful and the greeks and romans decided to stop fighting one another and work together to stop them. Balt stayed in control of the Greeks while a daughter of Mars took over for the Romans, needless to say Balt now has to decide how and what is worth fighting for, who his allies will be and how he will proceed with camp being the Greek Leader. Balt has plans for the future however what lies ahead will shock you and make you forever be in confusion and despair. Trust me.

POWERS & ABILITIES
[HYDROKINESIS] Baltazar being the son of Poseidon has the ability of Hyrdokinesis which is the control/manipulation of water. Balt is able to twist the water to his will, he can heal himself with the water as well as do other more intense things. Baltazar can control the water and bend it to his will since his father is Poseidon he has been graced with this ability and has learned to harness and control it over the years.
[LIMITATIONS] Balt can not use the water to bring back the dead, while he can heal others with this ability it will be weaker than say him healing himself. Healing other people takes a lot out of him, he has to physically force the water to do his bidding and it much be sea water to heal other people. River water does heal him but it will only heal him. Lakes and Oceans are where he gets most of his powers from. While Balt might have a lot of control over this ability it goes off his emotions so its best not to upset the god near the water.
[ATMOKINESIS] Being the child of the god of the sea he has been granted with the ability of Atmokinesis or basically the ability to create storms and manipulate the weather. Balt has been on the seas most of his life so he knows storms, how they function what kinds there are, hes got the basics down. Balt has the ability to create storms, these storms are stronger in his fathers domain and can become quite deadly.
[LIMITATIONS] Balts abilities are stronger in his fathers domain, while he can make storms happen over land they will be weaker and less likely to cause damage. He can not use this ability in the sea of monsters due to it being Ketos domain he can however use this ability anywhere water is present.
[AEROKINESIS] While his father is not the king of the sky Balt has been gifted with minor Aerokinesis, basically Balt can manipulate the winds and such in order to create/manipulate storms, or even the wind he needs for his sail.
[LIMITATIONS] This is one of Balts weaker abilities due to it being mainly a gif for the children of Zeus/Jupiter. It is a very limited ability and very rare for a child of Poseidon/Neptune to have. Balt unlike children of the sky god can NOT use this gift to fly due to his natural distastes for being anywhere near Zeus/Jupiters Domain, this is purely for storms and sailing purposes.
[ARES BLESSING] After the quest to save Black Beard who just so happened to be a demi god of Ares. After saving Ares son with the help of Sebastian Crane, Balt and Seb were both gifted with Ares blessing however there was a catch to it. This ability basically makes Balt invincible in battle for a limited amount of time, while he can still be killed its much harder to hit or hurt him than a regular demi god so long as he follows the one restriction set.
[LIMITATIONS] This ability only works if both Balt and Seb are in close range of one another, this ability can NOT be used without Sebastian and vice versa.[ON HOLD UNTIL BOUGHT]
[COMBAT EXPERT] Balt being raised by a pirate for most of his life was taught how to fight with a sword and his fists just encase he ever needed to use them. Balt has been training every day since he arrived at camp half blood to better use his abilities and such. He is extremely good a fighting like a pirate because well he is one, and since his time at camp Half Blood he was a combat instructor while the camp still stood and now that hes the leader of the Greeks well hes become a little more experienced since the war.
