The problem with begin a renegade was, that if his friends were alive he was late to find out. He still didn't know if Judas was dead or alive, but he assumed his brother was dead and didn't spend to much time dwelling on it. Some of his closest friends were missing or had yet to run into Marshall. Mara, Cassidy, Judas, Sebastian, Kade, even old Balty is in there. Not that Marshall necessarily looked forward to a reunion with some of those people. It'd been awhile since he last saw a number of them, and he knew Balt was alive but he hadn't got a chance to sit down with old eye liner.
Cassidy and Mara were a different story. He had no idea where they could be. He doubted they were dead because they were both children of the big three, and an insanely powerful team because of it. But still, nobody was indestructible. Marshall learned that the hard way. His body was littered with scars from wounds, big and small, and from multiple weapons. During the war ballista and Greek fire were common and Marshall hadn't managed to dodge all of the blasts. He had burns, cuts, and stab wounds to prove he had survived.
He had grown a beard since then and had even started drinking, lots really had changed. His beard was great though, all the chick dug it. Aurora, and some of the other renegade campers often complimented on how good it looked on him. With out it he was baby faced and just childish, now he seemed more manly. That being said he was plenty manly back before his beard, but now he was more manly. He hadn't changed much other then physically. During the war he had found out about his powers of madness and often abused it on his enemies. He had admittedly become more cruel when fighting and dealing with people he didn't necessarily like. Still...... he was the same, right? Nah he was lying to himself. But what ever

Cassidy had gotten around to seeing everyone that was still in the Greek/Roman camp. She'd spent enough time doing odd jobs and getting involved wherever she could, so most if not all of the camp knew her name and/or face. And she didn't brag out loud like this or think so highly of herself like this, but she was a hard face to forget. And being Zeus's little girl of the camp, she had to be known. Even if she didn't like to brag that fact, people knew. And she hated that people treated her differently for that reason. Like she was so much more special than the rest. All of them were children of divine beings, wasn't that the highest level of special?
She found herself in the mess hall because she really needed a churro right now. The morning had been so busy, from the moment after she woke up and showered she was out helping the constructors build and repair the walls. With her super strength, she was a valuable asset in repairing it. She was so tired, but she didn't mind though. She always needed something to do to keep her fidgety hands easy. And besides, she even kind of enjoyed flexing her muscles for people. She was a little badass and liked to show it.
When she got to the mess hall, it was there that she saw Marshall. Last she saw, and from a distance, it was Marshall leaving the camp. But she was so busy crying over Mara's body, she couldn't say or do anything about it. So her breath caught when she saw him, and she ran over screaming. "MARSHALL!" She screeched, jumping when she was close enough to either tackle or hug him, depending on how prepared he was to catch her.

You know, maybe it was a good idea for him to come to the joint camp. As long as he avoided Romans he would be fine, and Balt wouldn't have to kick him out. Besides he could always switch sides for no reason other then 'all my friends are at the joint camp' and everybody would believe him. After all he hasn't been the most avid hater of Romans, he just wants revenge on their legion and praetor who helped orchestrate the destruction of his beloved camp. He was busy munching on grapes and drinking grape juice while eating a grape jelly bagel when his voice was called. Actually it was more like shouted. He recognized the voice, how could he not recognize it? It was Cassidy!
Marshall spun around fast, but not fast enough. She ran him over, knocking him to the ground. Despite the slight pain in his butt he still smiled widely. She was alive! And she was more then willing to jump into his arms which was a total plus. "Cassidy? Oh my gods you gave me a heart attack. Like in a good way, as in when I heard your voice my heart skipped about ten beats......" Marshall really had nothing to say. So he just tried to wrap his arms around her, assuming she had fallen with him and they were both on the floor. He pulled her in tight, putting her in a bear hug that wouldn't crush her. "It's been so long...... I would recount the last time I saw you but that wouldn't be the best of ideas seeing as it would spoil this great moment in history" Marshall half joked still hugging her. The last time he saw Cassidy.... was it during the Roman invasion on Camp Half Blood? He had been to preoccupied trying to save his siblings and himself to go and find her in the heat of battle but he was fairly sure it was her butt that he saw running off into the fray.
Not that he spent a lot of time looking at her butt..... it was just a very distinguishable rear end is all. That's when Marshall remembered Mara, if Cassidy was here Mara had to be lurking somewhere. Which meant he would be punched for this contact with Cassidy, and probably hugged because on the inside Mara knew he was her fave. Back at Camp Half Blood, Marshall and Mara had the most complicated friendship the world had ever seen. Most of the time she was scolding him, hitting him, cursing him, but when she wasn't they were laughing and having a good time. Then when it came to her little sister, who Marshall was totally hitting on, she was so protective and made him jump through hoops just to get a simple hello out of Cassidy. Those were good times......
"How've you been? And is Mara doing good?" Marshall scanned the area to make sure a foot wouldn't land on his face if her older sister was in fact around. As much as he enjoyed hugging Cassidy while on the floor, all great things came with a punishment of sorts...... but usually his punishments were totally worth it. Maybe now would be different though, everything was after all. From what Marshall could see Cassidy didn't look all that different, maybe a little more grown up then before but still kind of the same. It had only been a year after all..... but a year could do a lot of things to somebody.

She did fall over with him, and gratefully so because he was big and warm. And he also broke her fall, which she was pretty grateful for. "You were always the smooth talker," she said with a sigh. She closed her eyes and just enjoyed the moment, because he was right. The last time they saw each other was right before all hell broke loose and the Romans invaded. And it was her that he saw running into the battlefield, but it was after her sister. Right about the time that she saw her sister fall to the ground in a way that bodies are not supposed to collapse. It was so sudden, and the fall was so awkward that there was no way she was conscious as she fell over. Or alive.
And then he asked about her sister. This was not something she wanted to get into so soon, the moment was too good to spoil. But slowly, she sat up on top of him. Her hands stayed in his stomach to hold herself up, and she opened her eyes slowly to look down at him as she delivered the news. Her eyes were dry, she'd cried so often about this that she wasn't sure she could cry anymore. She had only recently been able to stop crying herself to sleep. She opened her mouth, and let out a shaky breath before answering, "Mara didn't make it, Marshall," she responded softly. Her eyes lowered and she just stared down at her hands with her thumbs tracing small circles to not sit so idly
