Danny is your classic gentleman. He's very polite to strangers...especially females. Always answering in a yes or no ma'am fashion when replying to them. He's from an age where manners and class were expected and required not an option someone could ignore. He's a very generous guy, he'd do anything for a stranger, willing to give them the shirt off of his back if needed. He's very brave, and would risk his life for strangers in a heartbeat. He's overall a nice guy but the quickest way to make him angry is to see a woman getting bullied or attacked. It makes him furious, and he will gladly protect them in a heartbeat. He's a kind guy who can sometimes come off as a bit naive. He's not up to date on the most recent slang or culture references. He's still trying to get over not being in an age where a woman and man waited to marry until they committed themselves, and tattoos were unheard of. He's adjusting well, and despite sometimes feeling completely lost he chooses to adapt rather than complain. He isn't the type of guy to complain about anything, and hates it when other people choose to have pity parties. He's a more be thankful what you have and do something about it type of guy rather than a woe is me one. He is very loyal and when commits to something he sees it through, the downside of this being that he expects others to be loyal and when they hurt him or ruin that loyalty he finds it exceedingly hard to forgive them or trust them again. Since the war he's a bit more guarded around the edges,a tiny bit less trusting, he watched his love die and that changed him in ways he isn't sure he'll ever be able to recover from.

background
April 17th 1923
A baby boy, seemingly a newborn was dropped off on the steps of an orphanage in Reno, Nevada with a note that simply had his name written in elegant scroll writing. He was taken in and adopted quickly by a couple. He grew up knowing them as his only parents, and had a happy early childhood for the most part. His mother was a homemaker and devoted herself to her baby boy. She taught him manners and respect, she gave him a love for theater and the two would read plays together while his father was at work. His father was a brick mason, and the family made ends meet well enough. Then the depression struck.
October 29th 1929
The stock market crashed and slung the country into what would be known as the Great Depression. Unknowingly because of his gift his family did better than most but they couldn't escape it all. His father began having to take more and more jobs to make the ends meet. He began drinking and it wasn't long that his father began taking everything out on his mother. Danny hated him for it, and tried to protect her as much as he could even though he was only a child. He developed an intense hatred for men who drank and men who abused women. He would care for his mother after the episodes, consoling her the best he could and trying to make her smile. Life was tough but unfortunately for the boy it would only get tougher.
December 8th 1941
Danny had barely finished his schooling when the United States was thrust into World War II. He had been working two jobs while going to school. His father having left the family when he was 14 and able to fight back. From that point on he had taken on the role of the provider and stepped up to take responsibility for what his father had abandoned. Once the US went to war he felt it his duty to fight for them, felt a gut feeling that is was something he needed to do. He had then went to his mother and announced that he was joining the Army and after a long bout of tears from her she had understood his decision. He spent one year training at Nellis Airforce Base and found himself easily advancing in the ranks. He joined onto the special forces and found he had a natural knack for strength, stealth and fighting. He excelled in his role in the military and that was when his mother claimed him.
August 11th 1944
Nike claimed her son and told him who he was and that he needed to go to a camp for people like him where he would be safe. He had politely told her that he appreciated her concern but he couldn't abandon his country and his post...that wasn't him. She had warned him again, but he hadn't listened. It was then that he got a note telling him to report to a commander staying at the Lotus Casino. He had reported immediately and soon found himself trapped. He hated the place, hated the lack of morals, the easyness that they were portraying life as. It took him what he thought was two weeks to escape but in actuality it had been 70 years.
June 12th 2014
He emerged into a world completely unfamiliar to him and immediately began looking for his mother. She had passed away of course, and their home had been demolished. He was thrust into a world so very different from the one he knew. It was then that a satyr found him and led him to camp. He had explained as much as he could and they had stopped at a library before coming so he could brush up on the past history he'd missed. The internet was a mind blowing thing, modern music hurt his ears, and girls running around half-naked threw him for a loop.
He had been at camp for a year and quite happy. The son of Nike had met a daughter of Athena who he had actually helped rescue from the casino and the two had fallen in love. She was his life, and his world. For the first time in a long time he had been happy. Then war found him yet again. He fought for the Greeks, trying to protect as many as he could. He saved a few, but not the one who had truly mattered. The love of his life died in battle and it changed his life forever. He went into a darkness for a while, being withdrawn from others. As the war progressed though he knew he couldn't allow himself to remain that way any longer. The camp needed him and he knew she would want him to do his duty. He vowed to make her proud, and help end this war so her lost life wouldn't be meaningless.

POWERS & ABILITIES
Danny is the son of Nike, the goddess of victory and enforcer of Olympus. Therefore Danny's power is one of victory. It's no where near as strong as his mother of course, but Danny has a natural gift of being able to pick a side or see a point that would win an argument or fight and he's usually right. Whenever he picks a side based on his gut it tends to be right, when he picks a side (despite not having a feeling on it being the right one) and prays to his mother and she decides to bless him his side is usually victorious. The downside is that he of course can always be wrong and his mother being the fickle goddess she is sometimes decides not to let him be right or win just to keep him on his toes. His mother is also known for her strength and speed therefore Danny is stronger than most demigods...though of course no where near as strong as kids from the big three or most of the Ares kids who train a lot. His speed is quick but of course not as fast as the Hermes kids.
